Mallorca, Spain.

Back from a trip to the Spanish island of Mallorca, well know holiday destination for most people. Mallorca together with other islands, Ibiza, Menorca, Formentera, Cabrera form the Balearic Islands. Only a short flight away from The UK and other European cities, no wonder that the Balearics are so popular.

I was staying not far from the Palma airport, a resort called Can Pastilla.

Not as busy as perhaps the south of the island, therefore more relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of hotels offering decent accommodation, numerous bars, restaurants and miles and miles of nice sandy beaches. Other advantage of Can Pastilla is the close proximity to the islands capital Palma de Mallorca, where about half of the people from the island live.

Cosmopolitan city indeed, with pleasant Mediterranean feel, cuisine and climate. Historic place with plenty of sights to see. One of the most visited is probably the Cathedral de Mallorca, with far-reaching views over the bay of Palma.

Sadly, as always the holiday come to an end. So until next time…

Hasta Luego Mallorca.
